Don,
Mountain lions can get to be 180 pounds but the average is about 130 pounds. They usually live anywhere from 8 to 12 years. They can eat a deer a week, they figure there are about 2,000 mountain lions in Nevada. You can get two tags a year - but they usually only fill 150 tags a year in the state of Nevada. 150 pound cat in Nevada is a very large size - the length at 7 feet 3 inches was above average. The average length is 6 feet 10 inches. How they measure cats is by measuring the width and length of the skull. 15 inches is Boone and Crocket and anything above 14 is eligible for the Nevada hunt book. My cat should be just over 14 inches, but probably won't be 15.
I plan on putting the lion in the living room downstairs on a pedastool where I can worship it on Sundays!
