Cressall genes are way too strong . . .
Wow Dad! That pictures is awesome! It could pass as one of my kids! Who knew how strong those Cressall genes really are!
We hope everyone is well! The kids are on spring break this week and are loving sleeping in and slacking on chores! Today is the 'big' day - we're taking them out to lunch at the buffet. Who knew you could have so much fun going to a buffet! I'm sure Montego Bay will win out - since it has the chocolate fountain. If ever tempted to go and sample the chocolate - talk to Jared first (he has some good horror stories!). Other than spring break - things are as quiet as they get at my house! Although I did have a good embarassing moment the other day in the parking lot coming into work. I fell off my shoe (basically) and went straight down - of course, there was someone right there getting into his car - thankfully I didn't know him - but he was very kind and asked several times if I was okay. I skinned by knee and ripped my pants, skinned my arm but I was okay - just very, very embarassed. Turns out, the whole thing was caught on surveillance tape! It's too bad I don't have a better excuse, except being a clutz!
Have a great day! :)

Snowmobiling at the Sinks & Stuff
Pam was in Evanston, Wyoming at a conference, seeing the FLY Lady. So the rest of the family went to the sinks for some snowmobiling. We loaded up the snowmobiles, hooked then on to the back of the 4Runner and headed up the canyon. Baili and Jamie rode the Yamaha, while Michelle and Mary rode the Polaris. They had a great time but the snow was rock hard. It had melted the top layer and we could have ridden the Hondas off the trails without a problem. I didn’t think about taking any pictures.
It has been in the 60s in Logan and we raked the pine needles off of the lawn last night. We piled them up in the garden and started them on fire. Oh, the smell of pine needles burning reminded me of camping and I was ready to load up the sleeping bags and head out. Pam has always said that I can only set up a tent in the dark.
;-)
I'm glad Rick and Kassie finally joined our group. They are probably the most technology savvy members of the family and the last to sign up. Hey, go figure.
Pam and I went golfing at Synders in Riverdale and on the back nine of Logan River. Pam scored around 60 at both places. She hasn’t been golfing for 6 months so that is about right. I scored 44 at both places. Par was 35 so I’m happy right now for this early in the spring.
Love,
Dad

In The Army Now
Hey Rik and Kassie. Darryl and I were reading the Blog and just wanted to help out in some way. Darryl did the same thing Rik is thinking of doing. Well, he was enlisted for 7 years and then became an Officer. The good thing is the Navy even paid for his Masters Program. (Masters in Government Finance) Anyway, my point being...Rik if you want a Letter of Recommendation from a high ranking officer Darryl said that he would be more than happy to help out. =) I also think he could get a few Letters Of Recommendation for you... So, just a side note in helping you make that decision. Call me and let me know.

Finally!
I haven't been able to post or get into my account until now and I apologize but here I am posting for Rick and I today.
The latest topic of discussion here has been if we should stay in the army and if so Rik can get his officer rank.
The easiest thing to do would be a program called Green to Gold which would allow him to go to school for 4 years (fully payed tuition and books with a small stipend) and re-enter the army for an additional four years as an officer.
The other option is to let our contract end in 2008 and enter the civilian world again with help from the veterans bill where Rik will go to school anyway.
We probably won't decide for a few more months but that is what is going on here.
As for me I've been busy with work and managing the knife store I work at. There have been some recent issues with paycheck due to the fact that the owner simply doesn't want to pay us for the hours we work. Kind of lame. We are working for a solution I suppose.
I also was involved in a local cultural celebration with my Ninjutsu Dojo. We did a short 5 minute demo in which I apparently stole the show.Everyone was really supportive and did a great job. I'll try to get the video up here soon. It was a lot of fun.
Well that's all for today. Take care everyone.

Legoland/San Diego
Hello all - Jared, the kids and I went to San Diego last week! We had a great time. We spent a day in Legoland, a day at the Wild Animal Park, part of the day at the zoo, the Clark Science center and of course, the beach. The weather was great and the kids had a great time. We crammed ourselves into a small hotel room and played playstation - when the noise level kept increasing we told the kids that we would get kicked out if they didn't keep it down - so, the rest of the time we were in the hotel, Gunnar was our noise patrol - he kept saying, "Don't get us kicked out." It was fun! We made the looong drive home on Sunday (straight through) - and suprisingly we didn't kill anyone! I would post some great pictures that we took . . . but Jerrick deleted our pictures off the digital camera - although I don't have proof of this - I am absolutely certain since I caught him with the camera again yesterday, looking at pictures. So, we will relive our San Diego trip in our memories (and 4 pictures that Jared took with the video camera)! We hope everything is great! -- Em

Fair & Wendover
Hi Melissa,
It looks like both of you had a great time. I can't figure out what you are doing in the upper picture. Were both of you practicing for the rock group "Kiss" next tour? ;-)
Emily, Jared, Mom and I attended the Jo Dee Messina concert in Wendover. It was a great concert. I also had a fun time jumping with the grand kids on the back yard trampoline until I noticed that Jared had duck tapped the frame of the trampoline together. Hey, it held up! Good job Jared! ;-) I also spent time in the playhouse tickling the boys as they slide down the slide.
James went out with us and he cleaned house on stealing pizza from the kids as they walked around the house. Later we found out he was on the table finishing the left over Pizza. Later James showed he ate too much. I'm glad we were at the concert. Sorry Emily & Jared! Bad dog!
