Dad,
Yes that is Darryl...the Naval Officer. Will you please put a couple of pictures up so I may see how the remodeling is looking? And I can see the "blue-green" color for myself? I really haven't had time to ride my motorcycle lately. I have been REALLY busy with work and school. Hope everyone is doing well.

Front Room Remodel
Good Evening,
Here is the update on the remodel project. We pulled the carpet off the stairs and front room and have painted the closet and ceiling a white, white. I have been ban from picking any colors. ;-) My only job is to put it on the walls or ceiling. Hey, I just see colors differently than other people.
We now have carpet back on the stairs and we are ready to paint the walls in the front room. It is a blueish green color. Well, that what it looks like to me. After we get it painted, we are going to put up new trim and base that will be painted white. The bifold door will be painted the blueish green color. Tile be next in line and we will have to work around the piano.
Hey Melissa, is that Darrel? Is he the navel officer?
Oh, James is in need of a hair cut and I'm trying to get Baili and Jamie to cut his hair but they are dragging their feet.
Well, I've got to run.
Love,
Dad

Arizona/Nevada Trip
Good Morning,
Mom and I finished our travels into Arizona and Nevada. We had a great time, and didn't have any break downs while we traveled somewhere between 5 to 6 hundred miles on dirt roads. Here are the links to the pictures that we took on our travels.

Merry Just Before Christmas
Hi Family,
I think this is called panic week. Normally the week we take off for our anniversary leaves me rested and relaxed and ready for the Holidays. This one didn't work out quite that way. For those of you who haven't heard I decided to test my gymnastic skills and did the splits (Yes, I did manage to get all the way down) Only problem I couldn't get back up, "old" muscles don't stretch they tear and now I am hopping along like Festus on Gun Smoke. Which means I am moving very slow and it's hard to panic in slow motion.
I'm looking forward to seeing each of you over the next couple of weeks. Its soooooooo strange to have the family spread out all over. I keep telling Dad we need to retired and hit the road. We could start in Wendover, head to Phoenix, come north throught Moab and then west to Colorado Springs the head home. We could spend a day or two with each of you, rest up and do chores at home and then start over.

Merry Christmas!
Good Morning All!
Thanks Melissa, you said exactly what I was thinking. I didn't want to look like I was totally trying to hog the blog! Hey, I'm a poet and I didn't even know it! Melissa - I sent you the link for the pictures - maybe I have your e-mail wrong? Will you let me know what it is? You can send it to either of my e-mail addresses - ecartermjg@yahoo.com or wnecarter@peppermillcas.com.
Rick, Mom and Brenda drew names a while ago. For brother and sisters, you and Kassie have Dad and Melissa and for the cousins you and Kassie have Josh and Brenda.
Now, for the really exciting news! Ryker has the chicken pox. This is not really exciting, since I took way too much time off of work last week due to Santa's Secret Shop (PTO crap) and then Weight Watchers Leadership training at the end of the week. Jerrick has already had the flu this week and Gunnar has had a cold sore on the back of his mouth. It's not exactly been my week! I guess it all comes in threes (right?) - hopefully this is the end! The worst of all of this is that Ryker has had the shot. So much for vaccines!
We are excited for the family Christmas party but I'm a little worried that Ryker might still be contagious. Brooke - have your girls had the chicken pox or the shot? Does anyone have Heather's e-mail address? I think Lily is the only one that would be at that critical age?
Hope all is well with all of you! Have a great day!
Emily
